For me, Fruit Pizza is the ultimate dessert during the spring and summer months. The combination of the chewy cookie crust, fluffy topping, and fresh fruit creates the perfect balance between decadent and healthy. It’s definitely a satisfying dessert, but still feels light and balanced. Especially when we layer the top with delicious seasonal fruit!
And can we just take a minute to appreciate what a gorgeous thing it is too?? Perfect for summer holidays, company, or birthday celebrations. Although there are a few steps that go into creating it, it’s easy to make. A simple oatmeal cookie crust. Fluffy greek yogurt topping. And all the beautiful fresh fruit your heart desires. You can go nuts like we did and create a lovely, layered work of art. But it is equally delicious (and still lovely) when you just toss those beautiful fruits on the crust all willy nilly and call it a day.
We’ve made our fair share of fruit pizzas with sugar cookie crusts, but the flavor and texture that this oatmeal crust brings to the party is just.. better. Oatmeal and fruit is a natural combination, and this fruit pizza recipe just takes it to the next level.
Ingredients for Fruit Pizza:
- Rolled Oats
- Brown Sugar
- Vanilla Extract
- Baking Powder
- Cream Cheese
- Plain Greek Yogurt
- Orange Juice
- Vanilla Extract
How To Make Fruit Pizza:
- Whisk together the dry ingredients
- Beat the sugar and butter together in a medium bowl until light and creamy; add the eggs and vanilla and beat until combined.
- Add the dry ingredients and beat just until combined.
- Press the dough into a 12-inch pizza pan or parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Allow to cool completely.
- Beat the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth and creamy. Add the greek yogurt, sugar, vanilla and orange juice. Beat well.
- Spread the icing onto the cooled crust.
- Cut the fruit and decorate the pizza.
- Slice and enjoy!

This dessert is endlessly customizable. I’ve made it with just strawberries, tropical fruits, all berries.. here are some of the best fruits to use when making a fruit pizza:

Start in the center and gradually work your way to the edge. You can do rows of different colors like we did, or make a design in the center, like a heart or a star. Or try a monochromatic design by using all yellow/orange or red fruits.
Tips to Make the Best Fruit Pizza:
Can I make fruit pizza ahead of time?
Yes! If you need to make this ahead of time, we suggest making the components and storing them separately. Bake the crust, allow to cool, then wrap in plastic wrap. Make the frosting and store in an airtight container in the fridge. Cut the fruit and store in the fridge separately to avoid the coloring bleeding. Keep in mind that some fruit will look and taste better if you cut right before assembling.
How long does fruit pizza last?
You can store fruit pizza tightly covered in the fridge for up to 3 days. Keep in mind that the crust will soften and the fruit will dry out a bit. It will still be tasty, but it is best if enjoyed within 24 hours.
Can this be made with a dairy-free topping?
Yes! Whipped coconut milk makes a delicious dairy-free alternative. You can also use frozen whipped topping.
Other fruit pizza crust alternatives:
If you’re short on time, premade cookie dough will work for the crust. For a gluten-free alternative, almond or oat flour will work in place of the all-purpose flour.
Can I make individual fruit pizzas?
Yes! This is great for kids and parties! Scoop 1/4 cup sized balls of the oatmeal cookie crust mixture and place onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Keep in mind that you don’t want to underbake the dough because you will lose stability. Frost and top with fruit as desired.
Other Topping Suggestions for Fruit Pizza:
After adding the fruit to the pizza you can brush it with apricot jelly. It adds a beautiful shine to the fruit! Simply melt about 2 tablespoons of jelly in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it. Use a pastry brush to carefully brush the fruit. This will also help prevent the fruit from drying out.
You can also top your pizza with almond slices, toasted coconut, or a chocolate drizzle.

- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, plain
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup strawberries
- 2 medium kiwi
- 1 medium mango
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1/4 cup raspberries
- 1/4 cup blackberries
Preheat the oven to 350°F
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In a large bowl of a stand mixer, beat the butter and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until a soft dough forms.
Press the dough into a 12-inch pizza pan or a baking sheet, forming a 1/4-inch thick crust. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool completely.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add greek yogurt, sugar, orange juice and vanilla extract and beat together until smooth and creamy. When the cookie crust has cooled, spread the frosting onto the top of the pizza base.
Slice the fruit:Strawberries – Cup the tops off and slice lengthwise. Kiwi – Peel and slice into rounds, then cut each round in half. Mango – Slice close to the seed of the mango on each side. Peel each half and then place face down on the cutting board. Slice into thin strips.
Arrange the sliced fruit on top of the frosting in any pattern you like. Serve immediately, or chill until ready to serve.
