A few months ago, I enjoyed a fabulous cocktail at a pop-up in Vegas. It was a Spicy Rose Paloma, and it was sensational \u2014 and beautiful. Edible glitter made this dream drink just stunning, and fun. <\/p>\n
Edible glitter is made from sugar and cornstarch \u2014harmless and firey. Do try this at home. A little smoke, a little spice, and a tart and sweet finish that almost made me drink too much!<\/p>\n
Upon my return, I set out to make a cannabis infused version. It offers most of the same great flavors, a different path to my kind of place. I\u2019ve infused the drink with 5mg of THC distillate. <\/p>\n
That\u2019s 2.5mg THC per drink, but you can use the infusion method you prefer. Keep the potency low, unless you know you are a high-potency person. When it comes to cannabis, and alcohol, less is more. Don\u2019t go overboard, it\u2019s no fun at all.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Pretty Popular Paloma<\/h3>\n
Serves 2<\/p>\n
What You\u2019ll Need:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2022 2 tablespoons granulated sugar<\/p>\n
\u2022 Edible glitter, any colors (divide)<\/p>\n
\u2022 1 tablespoon honey or agave<\/p>\n
\u2022 1\/2 cup pink grapefruit juice<\/p>\n
\u2022 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice<\/p>\n
\u2022 1 tablespoon rose syrup<\/p>\n
\u2022 2 dashes smoky bitters<\/p>\n
\u2022 1 tablespoon honey or agave<\/p>\n
\u2022 5 mg THC, your preferred method<\/p>\n
\u2022 Pinch cayenne<\/p>\n
\u2022 4 ounces grapefruit soda, cold<\/p>\n
Directions:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n- Combine the sugar with your choice of glitter. Drizzle the honey on a small plate. Run the rim of the glasses in the sweetener, then run the rim through the glitter.\u00a0<\/li>\n
- In a mixing glass, combine the juices, syrup, bitters, one tablespoon honey or agave, distillate, and a pinch of cayenne. Chill for 1 hour.<\/li>\n
- When you are ready to pour, add the grapefruit soda, stir, sprinkle with glitter, and enjoy.<\/li>\n

Smoky Salmon Canap\u00e9s<\/h3>\n
Serves 4, 3 canap\u00e9s per person\u00a0<\/p>\n
What You\u2019ll Need:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2022 1 small cucumber, ends removed, sliced into 12, 1\/4 inch slices<\/p>\n
\u2022 1\/4 cup cream cheese, softened<\/p>\n
\u2022 2 teaspoons canna-butter, 10mg THC, softened<\/p>\n
\u2022 Pinch of salt<\/p>\n
\u2022 2 scallions, thinly sliced<\/p>\n
\u2022 1\/4 lb. smoked salmon, cut in
small pieces<\/p>\n
\u2022 1\/2 lemon, optional, but recommended<\/p>\n
Directions:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n- Slice the cucumber and arrange on a serving plate<\/li>\n
- In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, canna-butter, and salt.\u00a0<\/li>\n
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on each of the cucumber slices<\/li>\n
- Sprinkle with the scallions, top with the salmon<\/li>\n
- If desired, squeeze the lemon juice over the salmon<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
