Often hailed as the \u201cAcademy Awards of Cannabis,\u201d it draws thousands of cultivators and influential C-suite executives from across the state to celebrate the best of the industry. <\/p>\n<p>Celebrities often make special appearances and its after parties have become legendary among industry professionals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Emerald Cup is an opportunity for small farmers, breeders, and cannabis creators to be recognized for exceptional work. <\/p>\n<p>While cannabis seems to be edging toward commercialism more every day, the Emerald Cup brings the space back to its roots by focusing on the craft of the herb. <\/p>\n<p>The event\u2019s planners are working to make the 2023 Emerald Cup Awards more memorable than ever with unique performances and insightful educational seminars in addition to showcasing award-winning brands.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s event features informational sessions such as: \u201cA Masterclass in Rolling,\u201d \u201cSmall Farms and Social Equity,\u201d \u201cPsychedelic Trip Planning,\u201d and \u201cA Conversation With DCC: How We Can Work Together to Make Positive Change.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Musical guests include Channel Tres, E-40, Kamaiyah, Lee Fields, and Smoked Out Soul, plus many more. The Emerald Cup is also highlighting several notable speakers, including but not limited to Guy Rocourt, The Dank Duchess, Swami Chaitanya, and Tina Gordon. There will also be hundreds of vendors.<\/p>\n<p>So how does one receive an invitation to this gathering of greatness? All competitors and judges receive two invitations to the Awards show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Emerald Cup Competition is now accepting applicants for 48 submission categories. Applicants have until March 3 to submit entries at one of six intake locations ranging from San Diego to Mendocino.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Awards show will take place at the bayfront Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, CA on Saturday, May 13. Entries close March 3, 2023 at 3 p.m. PST.
