We are on a constant quest to get more vegetables into the day. But dessert is not usually where it happens! Cauliflower brings a neutral and creamy base to this unusual shake and its subtle vegetal flavor blends nicely with traditional chai flavors.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The result is a filling, sweet tooth-satisfying milkshake with the added benefit of cauliflower\u2019s high fiber, vitamin, and antioxidant content.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This shake is simplest to make using a chai seasoning blend. But if you don\u2019t have that you can achieve a similar result with \u00bc teaspoons of ground ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and black pepper.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Try serving it with a dollop of coconut whip cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So good (for you) that you may want to sneak vegetables into all your desserts. Mums the word.\u00a0<\/p>\n

INGREDIENTS:\u00a0<\/h3>\n

For the milkshake:<\/em><\/p>\n

1 cup frozen cauliflower rice, steamed for 8 minutes\u00a0<\/p>\n

4 dates soaked in hot water<\/p>\n

1 \u2153 tablespoon cacao powder<\/p>\n

\u00bd cup of plain low-fat Greek yogurt<\/p>\n

\u00bd teaspoon of chai spice seasoning\u00a0<\/p>\n

1 cup of your favorite milk, (we used oat)<\/p>\n

1 handful ice cubes\u00a0<\/p>\n

INSTRUCTIONS:\u00a0<\/h3>\n

Begin by cooking your frozen cauliflower rice in a medium saucepan with 2 cups of water for\u00a08 minutes. Strain, add ice cubes to cool, and set aside.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Additionally, remove the seeds from the dates, cover your dates with hot water, and set aside.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, add the chilled cauliflower, soaked dates, milk, yogurt, spices, and ice cubes to a blender to blend on high until creamy and smooth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Finally, pour your blended milkshake into a glass and enjoy.<\/p>\n
