Additionally, <\/span>you surely are aware<\/span> that <\/span>replenishing your body with water<\/span> during and after a <\/span>sweaty workout<\/span> is key.<\/span><\/p>\n

But <\/span>why do we need to eat carbs and stay hydrated? And <\/span>how much and when should we be eating carbs and taking in liquids? Finally, what are some examples that combine carbohydrates and hydrating liquids?<\/p>\n

Carbohydrates: The Most Important Macronutrient<\/h2>\n

First, carbohydrates are one of <\/span>three basic macronutrients<\/span> (fat and protein are the other two) that provide us with calories. <\/span>This macronutrient occurs naturally in the following foods:<\/span><\/p>\n
